FINANCIAL SERVICE EXPERTS
The two founders of Halwyn Capital are Philip and Lisa Rose who are both experienced investment individuals with many years of international experience in financial services. Read on to find out some more about who we are and what we have achieved so far.
PHILIP ROSE
Co-Founder & Director
Philip started his investment career in 1999 and qualified initially as a UK equity fund manager at SWIP in Edinburgh. This was followed by a move into multi asset funds, before moving to Dubai in 2009 to join Emirates NBD Asset Management and continue managing multi asset fund-of-funds. This was followed by a spell in international wholesale distribution on behalf of two large asset management firms .
The first Halwyn entity was setup in the UAE in 2017, where it secured authorisation from the Securities and Commodities Authority of the UAE. The firm continues today as H Capital and under new ownership.
Halwyn Capital was setup in Edinburgh in 2018 and became authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority in 2019.

In addition to his ASIP fund management qualification, Philip is a CISI Level 7 Chartered Fellow and Chartered Wealth Manager, a Pension Transfer Specialist, holds the PMI's Certificate in Pension Trusteeship, plus the Cert CII and the CFA UK Certificate in ESG Investing.
He is also an independent director of the Aditum Investment Funds SICAV (Lux) as well as a member of the Oversight Committee for the Aditum Global Access ICC (DIFC).
LISA ROSE
Co-Founder & Director
Lisa started her investment career at SWIP in Edinburgh in 2002, working initially with the Quantitative Risk Team, where she became a Senior Portfolio Risk Analyst. This provided experience of in depth analysis of investment portfolios and working with the various investment teams at SWIP, to identify and assess the key investment risks within their portfolios.
Lisa was the General Manager of Halwyn when it first setup in Dubai and was a Registered Person with the Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority based on her experience and CISI qualifications.
She became a director of Halwyn Capital upon its incorporation and held SMF3 Executive Director responsibilities with the Financial Conduct Authority following its successful authorisation. Currently, Lisa continues to support the company in a non executive, advisory capacity only.

Lisa holds a Masters in Business and Economics from Heriot Watt University, has passed the Investment Management Certificate, is an Associate Member of the CISI and is also Cert CII (MP) qualified.
